Black History Month
Black History Month is an annual celebration of achievements by African Americans and a time for recognizing their central role in U.S. history. Also known as African American History Month, the event grew out of “Negro History Week,” the brainchild of noted historian Carter G. Woodson and other prominent African Americans. Since 1976, every U.S. president has officially designated the month of February as Black History Month. Other countries around the world, including Canada and the United Kingdom, also devote a month to celebrating Black history.

1/22 | Tet (Vietnamese New Year) | Vietnamese New Year, also known as Tet Festival, is the most important festival of the year in Vietnam. Its name, Tet, is an abbreviation for Tet Nguyen Dan, which is Vietnamese for the feast of the first morning of the first day of their calendar. | ||
1/27 | International Holocaust Remembrance Day | On this day, we commemorate the millions of victims of the Holocaust. This day marks the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, the largest of the Nazi concentration and death camps. |
